This spool, crafted from 5mm plywood, is tailored for CNC routing. All but the final side are glued as a unified structure, while the last side is secured with screws to allow simple loading. Utilizing a 1/8" endmill, cut the slats from the exterior (tool offset), and the slots and holes from within. Similarly, carve the smaller glue hub from outside and its holes from inside. The G-code files ending in 'TAP' are the ones I employed with Mach3 software. While running the router, remember to use a 1/8" endmill and place a sacrificial piece beneath the plywood for better cutting depth, exceeding plywood thickness. Since there are no tabs, hold the parts firmly during the cutting process as they detach freely. I used 16" square blanks with screws at corners to secure them while routing. The zipped folder carries original Solidworks 2011 part and assembly files, prepared using 'Pack and Go' function.
