SmartKnob is an open-source input device that allows you to customize the feel of detents and endstops through software configuration. It utilizes a brushless gimbal motor paired with a magnetic encoder to provide closed-loop torque feedback control. The EasyKnob is a modification of the SmartKnob project, developed by Scott Bezek. The main difference is that it uses a larger 1-inch bearing to create a more stable knob and allow it to hover over the AS5600 magnetic chip.
