A friend kindly donated six magnets measuring 6 x 9.7 mm, prompting me to create a sturdy housing for a family member. To ensure the magnet's secure fit within the housing, I employed a drill press and an "A" size (0.235") bit to carefully enlarge the hole slightly. Subsequently, I utilized a vise to gently push the magnet into place. The setup has proven effective. A helpful tip: when inserting the magnet, verify that it protrudes very slightly from its housing; excessive insertion can compromise the holding power of the magnet significantly.
