Ever wanted to make a model rocket, a firecracker, or just build a launcher? (Note that I'm not promoting any sort of reckless behavior but you'll do what you like with my design.) Don't have the funds or time for a large-scale project? No worries! This project utilizes readily available materials and one single 3D printed component to craft your own, disposable, one-time use 1/4 inch pvc pipe makeshift rocket. An easy-to-follow recipe for Rocket Fuel is included! Remember that I won't be responsible for any of the actions you take. For more details, check out the Instructions! Tools Needed: Screwdriver (one matching your preferred type of screw) Parts Required to Build the Rocket: For the Rocket Body: One section of 1 4 inches PVC piping (or 31.75 mm if not from the US) 3D printed rocket Fincan (the 3D printed part) 2 short screws For the Rocket Fuel: Sugar Potassium Nitrate (Stump Remover) To create the Fuel: A ratio of 60% Stump Remover and 40% Sugar. Melt it down in a frying pan on high heat OUTDOORS. Please don't do this inside, as it'll release bad fumes! For more info on how to make Rocket Fuel, search Google for Candy Rocketfuel. HOW TO BUILD YOUR ROCKET: Cut the PVC Pipe To Desired Length. Make sure there is enough space to screw the rocket Fincan onto the PVC pipe (the screws pass through the holes on the side of the fincan!). Place chunks or chuncks of the homemade fuel you've made into the butt end of the PVC pipe. Try packing it as far in as possible while leaving room for the screw holes. Push the Rocket Fincap onto the butt end of the PVC pipe until it's flush with the Rocket Fincan, sealing in the fuel. Screw 2 screws at a slight angle on one side of the plastic component into their designated holes. This will effectively seal the fuel from moving into the front section when ignited. Locate a safe and legal area to fire this rocket off. You'll need to devise your own ignition method – just remember not to use close range!
