Easy-change Shower Handle - Crosswater Kai
thingiverse
My shower is a Crosswater Kai, and this knob replaces the original thermostatic knob. It has an indent to limit the temperature between 2 points, and uses the original black temperature control piece with the thermostatic cartridge to achieve this aim. This is a remix of an excellent shower knob, which replaces the brass end fit with a much easier hex fit. When the brass end wears through the plastic, as it invariably does, all you need to do is replace the hex fit piece. Download those hex pieces from the original design I remixed from. I used a size 5 (11.5mm) for my shower, but it's possible this remix will work with other shower types. I printed a clear cap to cover the hole, and stuck a printed hot / cold indicator inside this. That's purely optional; I used the "Cap that Hole" generator by Ziv Botzer for this purpose, see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1943463 : push_cap_thicker.stl is the name of that file, I printed this in clear PLA.
