Easy Cable Management

Easy Cable Management

This cable management clip efficiently secures cables while allowing for easy addition or removal as needed. Its design was inspired by a handy clip I used in my previous job, where its popularity sparked my decision to recreate it using OpenSCAD. Several ready-to-print versions are included: Large holds 24+ cat6 cables with ease, Medium accommodates about 8 cat6 cables or 6 line cords, and Small secures 2 cat6 cables or multiple smaller wires. A custom version can be created by modifying the OpenSCAD source provided. When customizing, I recommend the open base/two screws option for added flexibility. If using double-side tape, a closed back/no screws design is preferable. Be cautious not to make the sides too thick, as they may become stiff and prone to breaking. I printed my clips in black ABS at 50% infill, 0.3mm layers, with the base facing down and no support. The use of ABS has advantages, particularly when it comes to strengthening the clips through acetone polishing. To do this, gather a large ziplock bag, a sheet of paper towel, and some acetone. Soak the wadded paper towel in acetone, then place it in a corner of the bag with your printed parts inside. Seal the bag and let it sit for about an hour before removing the parts and allowing them to air out overnight.
