Easy Brackets for Spice Rack/Shelves

This is a straightforward bracket that makes it easy to insert pre-cut hardwood strips from your local hardware store or home improvement center. The opening slots are designed to accommodate 1/4" x 2 1/2" pieces, which can be found in various lengths at most stores. I used 24" poplar and paid about $1.20 US for them. If you want a more polished look, consider using oak and staining it. The fit should be snug, so you may need to use a rubber mallet to tap the brackets into place.
