Easy Blitzwolf BW-SHP6 flasher
thingiverse
I recently discovered the Blitzwolf SHP-6 with the Tasmota firmware as a perfect replacement for my old 433 MHz home automation system. Unfortunately, flashing the SHP-6 is quite tedious since it requires taking apart the entire unit and soldering components. So I created this pogo plug programming adapter that can be directly inserted into the plug after removing the top cover, and can be screwed in place to keep the screw and spacer securely positioned. The pogo plug is designed to interface with an FTDI TTL-232R-3V3 (or similar) cable, leaving room for an integrated DC/DC converter to convert the 5V from the USB to a 3V3 supply voltage for the ESP. I used a specific type of DC/DC converter that I had on hand; any 5V -> 3.3V converter/LDO capable of handling 250mA should suffice. In the meantime, I've already successfully used this adapter to program nine additional units, and it went smoothly every time. Hopefully, you'll be able to do the same. I'm sharing this design with fellow makers to share an easy method for updating their Blitzwolf SHP-6 plugs, but I'm not open to building or selling ready-made plugs on request as I've already received numerous requests. You can find a video of the adapter in action at https://youtu.be/JNvG86WWKT4 and a wiring diagram at https://youtu.be/dqZVW31PhxU. To build this adapter, you'll need 5 Pogo pins (note: link is for 100pcs), which can be found at Banggood here: https://www.banggood.com/P100-E2-100Pcs-Dia-1_36mm-Length-33_3mm-180g-Spring-Test-Probe-Pogo-Pin-Tool-p-1169311.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN. Additionally, you'll need an adjustable DC/DC converter (note: this converter requires adjustment before it can be used), which can be found at Banggood here: https://www.banggood.com/DC-DC-Adjustable-Power-Supply-Buck-Converter-Step-Down-Module-p-922049.html?rmmds=myorder&cur_warehouse=CN. You'll also need a switch, available at Banggood here: https://www.banggood.com/10Pcs-Black-Mini-Size-SPDT-Slide-Switches-On-Off-100V-2A-DIY-Material-p-1011746.html?cur_warehouse=CN. Finally, you'll need two M3x6mm screws and an 8-pin 2.54 mm / 0.1" pin header connector.
