Easy Bed Leveling Kit v02

Update: To clarify the term "leveling," an explanatory image has been added. Bed leveling was always challenging for me, as I paid close attention during assembly and initially leveled everything, starting with the desk where I built the printer. However, issues arose once everything was assembled or if the machine had to be relocated and re-leveled. Despite achieving consistent small prints, larger parts requiring the entire print bed faced difficulties. The issue seemed to be the 2 Y-Axis Guides not being perfectly parallel and square. To address this, replacement parts for the fixed Smooth-Rod holder were designed. Feedback on version 01 prompted improvements before reaching 1,000 downloads. Instructions have been updated: These parts are tailored for an Orca 0.4 but may work for Mendels as well (rotate parts by 90° in assembly view). It is recommended to print the entire set for a seamless fit. Set the infill at 25-40% (35% used), use 3 perimeters, and print in PLA at .2mm layer height with a .35mm nozzle. No support material is needed due to the design. Cut the 8mm holes with a knife or drill as necessary. The only tricky part is disassembling the Y-carriage to replace parts and replacing the fixed Smooth-Rod holders. From now on, bed leveling should be a breeze! The revised Bill of Materials (BOM) includes: - 2x M3x20 Cylinder-Head Screws (leftover from Orca kit) - 2x M3 Locknuts - 2x Bed-Leveling-Sets (STL files)
