Easy adjustable Rostock/Kossel J-Head Mount
thingiverse
Constructing the Kossel, an OpenBeam-based Delta-style printer, led me to install dual extruders/hotends using M5 PushFit connectors from Amazon or TriDPrinting. These connectors enable J-Head snap-in and easy fitting on the Kossel and Rostock effector/platform. The SCAD file was updated for better Rostock effector inside circle fit, with V2 correcting single J-head misalignment on the insert. Setting the printDual variable in the OpenScad file allows for single or dual hotends printing. I employed PLA with a 0.5mm nozzle, 0.12mm layer height at 95% infill. A dual setup features four captive nuts per side that adjust hotend heights by turning M3 bolts counter-clockwise equally. Required hardware includes one or two J-Head MKV, PushFit/Pnuefit connectors, M3 x 12mm and 20mm screws, 10 M3 nuts, six M3 washers, and a modified AirTripper Extruder for PushFit and Planetary Gear Stepper.
