Easy Access Storage Box Drawer Divider

Easy Access Storage Box Drawer Divider

I wanted to create storage dividers for easier access to smaller components like little Lego Technic parts. I began with a straight panel and provided a couple of others with tapering that helps pull them out one by one. They will probably fit most smaller storage drawers, which all seem to have similar dimensions: 50mm wide by around 35mm high. I bought a cheap Raaco unit from Amazon, and they seem to work fine. I found that friction alone kept them in place but even drawers in the same unit vary. If you find them slipping upwards, a dab of glue will help hold them down. You can use one with a one-sided tapered with a dab of glue against the end of the drawer to make things easier to pull out without dividing the drawer at all. Printer Settings Printed on: FlashForge Creator Pro 2015 Rafts: No rafts used Supports: No supports needed Resolution: 0.2mm resolution achieved Infill: 20% infill density printed Notes: I just printed with default settings in Simplify3D using ABS material and had no issues at all. The ones with a flat face were printed face down, and the double divider was printed vertically as that was the only flat surface available. An advantage to printing vertically is fitting more on the print bed and creating a smoother curved surface.
