Easy 3D printed Face Shield - Upgrades
thingiverse
This version is based on the innovative face shield mask design by HanochH found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4233193. To use this, you'll need some elastic or a rubber band and A4 transparency film placed in landscape orientation. My modifications and additions include: 01. Hooks These added hooks enable you to attach and lock elastic bands securely. Additionally, since elastic bands are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain on time, this design allows you to use simple rubber bands without having to hook them each time you put on the mask (see photos). I designed the hooks to print at a slight angle without requiring supports, which is feasible as long as you have proper part cooling in place (see photo). So try printing without supports first and only add those if necessary. 02. Perforated Frame To prevent fogging up of the shield during use and reduce print material consumption. 03. Wider Base at the Ends This wider base ensures better bed adhesion, so if the original design was warping at the ends for you, you can now print without needing a raft or skirt.
