Eastern Porticus & Cryptoporticus

This model clearly illustrates the connection between the underground eastern cryptoporticus that extends into the hillside and the eastern porticus situated directly above it. The remarkably preserved mosaic and wall paintings of the eastern porticus, mostly unearthed in 2018, are a testament to their enduring quality. One column base from the colonnade remains intact on site, as well. Beyond the porticus lies a lengthy room paved with opus spicatum. Visitors can also explore the higher terrace featuring remnants of olive presses, settling vats, and wine treading platforms.
