The monumental Moai statues on Easter Island, crafted by the Rapa Nui people between 1250 and 1500, are monolithic human figures with disproportionately large heads. Almost half of these stone likenesses of deified ancestors remain at their quarry site, Rano Raraku; others were transported and erected on coastal platforms called ahu. In the 1722 European arrival, Moai faced inland towards clan territories, but by the 19th century, many had toppled possibly due to external influence or internal strife. Among these statues, Paro is the tallest at nearly 33 feet high and weighing 90 tons, while Ahu Tongariki's moai is heaviest at 90.4 tons despite being shorter. An unfinished sculpture could have reached 69 feet with a weight of about 270 tons had it been completed. These awe-inspiring statues are available in 3D models with 4,108 and 3,569 polygons, made of 3 and 4 sided polygons respectively. These files come in obj and 3ds formats but lack grouping information or parts. They include an mtl file for colorization. The model features basic UV mapping without textures; users must apply their own rock shader. It's fully licensed for games, apps, and as background scene-filler. Sales images were rendered in Lightwave and Keyshot with custom rock shaders.
