Easter Island Moais

myminifactory

Welcome to Rapa Nui! This incredible model was created by MiniWorld 3D collaborator Artemio García (@artemiogj), a true mastermind. Easter Island, a Chilean territory, is a remote volcanic island in Polynesia, steeped in mystery and intrigue. Its native name is Rapa Nui, and it's renowned for its breathtaking archaeological sites, including nearly 900 monumental statues called moai, crafted by the island's inhabitants during the 13th-16th centuries. The moai are carved human figures with gigantic heads, often perched atop massive stone pedestals called ahus. Ahu Tongariki boasts the largest group of upright moai, with fifteen majestic statues, including an awe-inspiring 86-tonne giant that's the heaviest ever erected on the island - all aligned to face sunset during Summer Solstice (as documented by Wikipedia). MiniWorld 3D is thrilled to bring this historic model to life as a tribute to the people of Rapa Nui. This incredible creation was designed by collaborator Artemio García, and we're honored to share it with you! Please give credit where credit is due - it's all about spreading culture and education!
