Easter will be upon us before we know it and we're going to need plenty of beautifully decorated Easter Eggs - after all, it's an old tradition. The new twist on this time-honored custom is to create them using 3D printing technology. Here's a tool that lets you imprint your own images onto your 3D printed Easter Eggs. You can use your own graphics or find them online. It includes ImageToData.exe (for PC) - a program that converts images into a format that can then be used by the enclosed OpenSCAD script to emboss the eggs. You can also use this tool to imprint spheroids and blimps, simply by adjusting some parameters, or you can adapt the code for your own unique designs. There are plenty of sample image maps included in the .zip file. How hard is this going to be? It's really not that difficult. All you need to do is edit some settings inside a text file within the OpenSCAD environment. You don't have to know how to program in OpenSCAD - just basic skills like using an image editor and editing text files on your computer will get you started. You'll also need to know how to install a program (OpenSCAD) 2015, which is available at http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html. Why isn't there a Customizer? It's now available here, with some limitations: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:715467
