Easter Bunny Scan

Easter Bunny Scan

Getting Ready for Easter... The wife put the original on our table and set up the scanner, so I gently placed it onto the turntable. I tried to do a textured scan with the Einscan-S, which uses the grayscale capture and assigns color to it. It did okay with blue and green but not red, resulting in a weird algae-like appearance - all green and blue. Since the obj textured version was way too large, I only uploaded the STL version. The scan came out pretty well, needing only two turns on the table: one upright and one on its back. No cleanup was needed afterward at all. For the full story of this thing and how I scanned it with the Einscan-S, listen to the 3D Printing Today podcast at threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com. It's free, packed with interesting 3D printing content, and listener-supported - no ads or popups! If you're having a blast with your 3D printer, you really should give it a listen! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm layer height Infill: 15% Notes: It should print easily. Post-Printing Paint it! A quick spray of some primer, followed by a light sanding with 600 grit emery cloth until you just start to see the layer lines. Then paint it with pastel colors for Easter! How I Designed This I didn't design this. I scanned a $20 ceramic statue using the Einscan-S.
