EAS

This design consists of six aluminum sheet metal parts, bonded together using material made from 6061 aluminium with a thickness of 1/5 inches. If you can cut it on a 3D engraving machine, this solution is relatively inexpensive. The edges of the bent parts have grooves for easy bending with high accuracy. Other components such as bond material or pins are made from stainless steel or chromed steel. All joints are secured through holes beneath 3/8 screw heads and PEM self-clinching nuts, along with a modified adjustable quick release system from bicycle wheels (priced at around $2 per piece), ensuring a rigid construction. Steel parts are red, while aluminum parts are gray. I believe this design offers an affordable, easy, and sturdy structure. It can be shipped either fully assembled and folded into a 26x16x14 launch envelope or partially assembled in a 17x16x14 launch envelope. Assembly on orbit is possible without tools, or with just one hex tool if the 17x16x14 launch envelope is used. The total weight of this design is 8.56lbs.
