The design emphasized simplicity, featuring a single bracket used in four locations for attachment to the plate via thumb screws or bolts. Each bracket connects to the seat track using a common seat track stud fastener assembly. Utilizing four identical and sized connection brackets simplifies manufacturing by reducing part complexity and cost. This system also enables easy flat packaging of parts within the required envelope. Material selection is 6160-T6 Aluminum, with parts water-jet or laser cut from 1" thick plate, drilling and tapping applicable holes for mounting to the seat track and mounting plate. Drawings provide additional information and reference details. Structural simulation and analysis were conducted, with part properties including volume and weight. Material properties include mass density, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, yield strength, and ultimate strength. The study featured tetrahedral mesh, Nastran solver, and analyzed von Mises stress and resultant displacement. For assembly, each independent member is loosely fastened to the seat track studs using a seat track stud mount (McMaster # 39695T370). Members are then rotated until aligned with the EAS mounting plate hole, secured with a 3/8-16 UNC threaded thumb screw or bolt. This process is repeated for each member to complete assembly.
