The Ady Gil was a cutting-edge trimaran measuring 24 meters in length, skillfully crafted by the renowned Calibre Boats in Auckland's bustling shipyard. However, its sleek design was dramatically altered when its bow was intentionally severed during a high-stakes anti-whaling operation conducted by Sea Shepherd. I've created an unrefined illustration of this remarkable vessel below. Incidentally, I only discovered this competition after abandoning my initial project, which had devolved into a haphazard Titanic design. It wasn't until then that I recalled having been on board the Ady Gil during its visit to Kaikoura, a moment that sparked a renewed sense of purpose in my creative endeavors.
