Earthquake bracket for LG TV
thingiverse
This is a snap-on earthquake bracket designed to secure LG TVs from falling over on entertainment centers with 3/4" shelves. I live in California where earthquakes are common, so not securing my TV was a risk I didn't want to take. Normally, I would simply screw the stand into the entertainment center, but since it belongs to my roommate, I didn't want to drill holes without permission. I decided to design and build my own bracket. The bracket easily pops into the existing screw hole on the LG TV stand and secures it onto a standard 3/4" shelf. Printer settings include a FlashForge Creator Pro with no rafts or supports, a resolution of 0.2mm, and an infill of 20%. I printed this in ABS plastic with one shell, which seems strong enough due to the orientation that prints all layers together.
