This is my tribute to the Earth Monster, Tlaltecuhtli, an Aztec icon from a bygone era. My interpretation of this stone creature draws heavily from the reference image sourced from The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I had the privilege of capturing that photo during a visit to the museum on New Year's Eve in 2019.
