An earing - created just for fun.The idea was to use a rotational v-shaped section of a sphere with a defined wall thickness.A symmetrical design, but about one axis only.One gemstone is placed in a central position. The other ones are placed in angular positons (5 times each 72 degrees and 8 times each 45 degrees), on two differnt pitch circle radii, so that you have totally 14 gemstones (13 gemstones concentrically placed like planets around the sun).Notes:The glue or cement for fastening the precious stones are not modeled.The dimensions of the earing you can see on one of the renderings, where the earring is lying on "mm-Paper".A thank goes to "Taras S" for sharing the «Brilliant Shape Gem» in the STEP (.stp)-format. The outer diameter of this brilliant design is 100 mm, so that you can scale it down to each size, you need for your special application.My model is available in following data formats:STEP-file (.stp) of the complete assembly and native files (.prt) and (.asm),in a (.7z)-folder, for all users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
