Wireless headphones are sleek earpieces that utilize Bluetooth technology to connect seamlessly with digital devices such as smartphones. People use them for various purposes including communication, music, and even maintaining their personal space. However, this wasn't always the norm. Telephone operators were initially equipped with cumbersome headphones in 1881, but French engineer Ernest Mercadier introduced the first hands-free, ear-fitting headphones in 1891. It wasn't until 1958 that John Koss designed the first stereo headphones specifically for music and home listening purposes. From there, advancements continued with the launch of portable headphones, known as Walkman, in 1979, to the invention of Bluetooth-enabled headphones in 2004. Today, it's common to see individuals on public transportation, bicycles, or simply strolling nearby, sporting their wireless earphones. You'll likely find me wearing a pair too.
