Earbud Reel Remix
thingiverse
This redesigned model, inspired by Terminus' reel, was recreated using Solidworks software for easier printing in two separable parts. I enhanced the slot for better bud insertion and retention. If you have access to Solidworks, personalized modifications like embossed graphics are simple. For earbuds with external mics and controls, consider scaling up by 10%. Printing was done using white PLA from MakerGear on an M2 with a 0.2mm layer thickness. Simplify3D generated support material, needed only for the TOP piece. Be mindful of the .stl files' orientation; both pieces should print with the TOP face up and BOTTOM face down. After printing, superglue binds the parts together securely, facilitated by the seat-ring in the BOTTOM piece.
