Earbud Holder Table Clip

Earbud Holder Table Clip

I was getting frustrated with how my earbud wires kept getting tangled up in various spots and causing a hassle when I was working at my desk. So I decided to create something to keep them from wandering off. The idea behind this design is a simple clip that can be snapped onto the desk to hold the earbud wire in place. The way it works is a bit over-engineered, but not overly complicated. The table clip (table_clip_v2) has two channels on top and one on the side where the earbud clip can slide into position. table_clip_v2 - This is the actual clip that fits onto the desk (may need to be resized for other desks). Earbud Clip V3 - This piece slides into the channel on the table clip and features a fully rotating version of the earbud hook built-in. It requires a very well-calibrated printer. wire_holder - A separate piece that can fit into the channels, with three hooks for both earbuds and the plug-in cord. earbud_clip_body - The bottom part of Earbud Clip V3, featuring a hole for the rotating hook. This is easier to print than Earbud Clip V3, but the hook tends to come loose easily and cannot be used upside down or sideways. earbud_clip_hook - A complement to earbud_clip_body, with similar pros and cons. earbud_holder - A one-piece part that slides into the channels on the table clip, featuring a built-in hook for the wire. It's functionally identical to Earbud Clip V3, except the hook can't rotate. This design is currently deprecated, but still works.
