I've had my fair share of headphone holders over the years, but none of them really lived up to my expectations because it took an eternity to get the headphones out - every single time. So, I decided to put a bearing in the middle to make things easier; now, all you need to do is give the headphones a gentle tug and they'll be unwrapped in under one second. If you come up with any improvements, please don't hesitate to let me know; I'd love to see them in action.
