To ensure biocompatibility in piercings, PLA is utilized due to its non-biodegradable nature. Inspired by this, an "ear spiral" was produced for a delicate earlobe using Diamond Age "Grape" PLA on a DiamondMind V2 printer with 0.23mm layers and a 0.45 nozzle. Despite being comfortable, a future project may involve printing in opalescent lilac at 0.09mm layers for a sleeker look. Sterilization is achieved through isopropyl alcohol, vodka or surgical spirit. The Openscad source file allows customization of curl amount, spiral tightness, resolution steps, and start/end diameters, or download the STL directly.
