Ear Saver, Minimalist Fast Print, + 46 in one vase mode
thingiverse
I'm having the most luck when I load as many Single ones onto a build plate as it will hold! The vase Mode version is really neat, but if it fails, it's frustrating and you lose the whole thing versus just one or two of the singles. This design allows me to print 46 in just 2 hours on my Anet A8. I made it so each piece is only an outer wall, minimal material, which results in a faster time. The ones we see in the news look cool, but they're not reusable and waste too much time and plastic - I could print 9 at a time in just 3 hours. There's no point in making them that fancy when it comes to something disposable like this. My logic on these is that since they're disposable, print as many as fast as you can, and have them get thrown away with the mask they were used on. I print about 200 a day and just keep sending them off to the hospital! In my opinion, there's no 3D print that's safe to reuse in a hospital setting - even a good print looks terrifying under a microscope. I looked at one dipped in hydrogen peroxide and it still had air spots where the water tension didn't seep in. The vase mode prints the fastest when you have your bed leveled perfectly, once it's dialed in, it's quick. I prefer printing as many as I can fit on my printer because I don't need to cut them apart. This print is optimized for a .4mm nozzle with 1 wall and no top or bottom shell.
