This is an innovative 'ear saver' concept that addresses a common issue with face masks featuring elastic loops behind the ears. Prolonged wear can cause ear discomfort, prompting users to seek alternative solutions. To combat this problem, I've designed these 'ear savers,' which measure 150mm in length and 1.5mm in thickness. These slim designs are specifically engineered to keep the elastic further apart than other available options, providing enhanced comfort for users. What sets my design apart is its exceptional flexibility, allowing it to bend easily without compromising its structural integrity. This feature ensures a snug fit around the ears, reducing pressure and discomfort. The 'ear savers' I've created are made from high-quality ABS plastic, as evident in the photos provided. The material's durability and versatility make it an ideal choice for this application. Following user feedback, I've successfully tested these designs with face masks featuring elastic loops behind the ears. Initial results indicate that they work effectively to alleviate ear discomfort, making them a valuable addition to any face mask.
