Ear Raft - Makerware Print Aid
thingiverse
Eliminate printing problems such as small parts breaking off or large parts warping by using a snap-off ear raft print aid. This accessory increases the surface area of your model on the build platform, preventing corners from lifting off. To use, place your items in Makerware and rotate to view from below. Add the ear raft, copying and pasting as necessary while overlapping edges with your model for best results. Typically, spacing should be 10-20 mm apart, with a 0.5-1 mm overlap. If using ReplicatorG, export STL files from Makerware after attaching ear rafts - although some compatibility issues may arise. Note that this model is compatible with Makerware, ReplicatorG, and Skeinforge due to its ACIS solid origin.
