Ear Mask Saver (Hood version)
thingiverse
Our N95 mask uses an ear loop, which can be painful to wear for extended periods. The provided hook for securing the N95 mask is not ideal as it can shift with head movement. To solve this issue, I have designed a hood that keeps the N95 mask secure at all times. This design can also be used for surgical masks. Notes: (1) You will need to use a hair dryer to shape the printed parts (see photo). (2) The part with the hook should be positioned at the back, while the secure strap (straight or curved) is at the top (see Photo). (3) Attach the two parts as shown in the photo. (4) The secure strap is 1.4 mm thick and 28 cm long (limited by the size of my printer), and the hole is 9 mm in diameter with an edge fillet of 0.6 mm on both sides of the hole.
