Ear Guard (For Face Mask)
thingiverse
The Ear Guard was a design I created after reading about how these protective devices shield ears from soreness caused by wearing a facemask all day. This works by placing the guard at the back of the user's head, and instead of putting elastic straps over the ears (which can be painful for the ear's back after some time), attaching them to hooks on the Ear Guard, based on the size of the user's head and the stretchiness of the elastic band. From my experience printing these devices, doctors seemed to prefer the Mk5, being the largest and allowing the bands to be looser around the head. The only difference between the various versions is their size, with Mk5 being the largest and Mk7 being the smallest. The earlier prototypes were test versions I made to assess the product's strength and determine what sizes doctors would like best.
