Ear Cuff with Wing

I designed a delicate ear cuff featuring feathers along the cuff and a wing extending from the ear. My primary objective was to determine the feasibility of achieving precise dimensions, shape, and angle, as well as the effectiveness of printing in preserving intricate details. Using clear PETG for this test print, I noticed that while the fine details mostly printed accurately, they are extremely difficult to discern due to the transparent edges, which render them nearly invisible. As a result, I highly recommend using a colored, fully opaque filament or applying an ultra-thin layer of paint to enhance visibility without obscuring the details. While clear PETG has its charm and doesn't look unappealing, it's unfortunate that the fine details are not easily visible at a distance. If you prefer the transparent aesthetic, it's worth noting that being up close and personal is essential to appreciate these intricate features.
