Eleanor used SculptGL to combine the mesh of a lion cub and eagle in a striking fusion. This innovative project was born out of the Prototype Camp at FACT Liverpool during October 2017, where young artists responded to the Designing Desire exhibition and its captivating installation "She Who Sees the Unknown." This immersive reading room featured stunning images and text from Middle Eastern mythologies centered around Jiin's. The enigmatic jinniya (female jinn) at the heart of Allahyari's work for Designing Desire is Aeisheh Ghediseh, also known as Aisha. Her legend tells that she creates a fissure on the male body, transforming him into another being through a deeply sensual and erotic process. By possessing a man, Aeisheh does not completely dominate her new host but instead opens him to an influx of jnun and jinns, as well as sorcerous particles from all corners of the universe. This makes the man a gateway for new demons, allowing cosmic data to sweep through his being. It's this fear that surrounds Aeisheh, who never departs – she resides within the man, ensuring his complete openness, even if it's not always pleasant. FACT's Learning Programme explores the concept of the art-tech center as an expanded classroom for lifelong learning, where critical dialogues, artistic experiences, and social dreaming converge.
