If you want to create a taller staff, grab my 1-inch cane coupler from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3810485. Also, check out my 1-inch wall mount clips for displaying your canes/sticks at: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3845550. You can make an awesome solid oak walking stick for about $7. In addition to the printed topper of your choice, you will need a 1-inch oak dowel, which costs around $6 at Home Depot, and a 1-inch rubber leg tip – about $4 for four of them. The links below are just for reference so you know what to buy: 1-inch Oak Dowel: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Builder-s-Choice-1-in-x-36-in-Oak-Round-Dowel-HDDO136/206184686. 1-inch Leg Tip: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QD30TE. The topper .stl file is sized for the 1-inch dowel if printed at 100%. If you want to use it for a different-sized stick, just adjust accordingly. I print my topers at 20% infill and then paint them and coat with a 2-part epoxy resin to add deep gloss and strength. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BM9LHRB. Just print the topper, glue it to the finished dowel (sanded and clear-coated) using your desired adhesive (I just use some of the 2-part resin I have mixed up for the final topper coat). You will end up with an awesome walking stick – or more if you are into collecting as I plan to do a lot of these.
