Eagle carving 3D scan
thingiverse
I created a 3D scan of an eagle carving that I purchased in the Philippines during the 1990s. The carving was entirely handmade, making it a unique piece rather than one mass-produced design. I used my XYZPrinting hand scanner v1.0A to capture its image and was impressed with the outcome. I've included photos showing the model after being 3D printed before and after removing support material. It was created using wood-infused PLA filament, resulting in a finished product that looks remarkably like real wood. Removing the support and cleaning the print proved to be relatively easy when working with this type of filament. My primary motivation for uploading this Thing is to accompany my blog post about 3D printing with wood-infused PLA.
