Eachine Wizard X220 fpv camera cradle
thingiverse
This is my first crack at designing parts on my own. The goal of this part is to secure the fpv camera and prevent it from shifting violently on hard landings, which can cause damage. This design is suitable for beginners and intended for use with low-angle shots between 0 and 15 degrees. I aimed to create a precise fit by designing the cradle with tight tolerances to minimize interference from external forces that could affect the camera's stability. However, my initial print revealed some issues - specifically, the holes required drilling out with a 5mm drill bit. This discovery raises questions about whether the printer settings or the CAD design in Tinkercad are at fault due to insufficient tolerance. Despite this setback, I'm pleased to report that the part fits together properly after modification. To adjust the height of the cradle, a shim stack is employed; these shims simply slide underneath and can be easily added or removed as needed.
