Want a one-of-a-kind executive desk toy? Look no further. A gyroscope gimbal for a tiny brushless quadcopter such as the Eachine UK65 / US65 is what you need. Check out the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIM-t1TEDGc\r\nI'm having trouble thinking of a use for this beyond being an elaborate fidget spinner, but if anyone has any ideas, let us know in the comments.\r\n\r\n\r\nYou will need some extra things to make this print:\r\n\r\n1) Six bearings, part number 693ZZ - 8mm outer diameter, 3mm inner diameter, 4mm thick are required.\r\n2) Blu-tack is needed to hold the quadcopter in place (the easiest method I know) and to prevent the frame from sliding when the quad is spinning like crazy.\r\n\r\n\r\nPrinting will likely take over 6 hours. Use PLA for its rigidity, and these instructions for the parts:\r\n\r\n1) Pins - 0.1mm layer height, no support are necessary, six are needed but it's best to print seven or eight at once in case you break one or two, as when they're printed individually they may be slightly too small to grip the bearings & rings.\r\n2) Cradle - 0.2mm layer height, support everywhere is required.\r\n3) Rings & stand - 0.2mm layer height, support on printing bed only, the holes for the pins & bearings are designed with triangle tops so as not to need any support during printing.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen the quadcopter is in place, try to make sure its center of gravity is in the absolute center of the rings, this is where the Blu-tack works well for placement adjustment.\r\nHave airmode turned on when 'flying' in acro mode, that way you leave the throttle at 0 and only move the yaw + pitch + roll controls.\r\nIn angle mode, raise the throttle just enough to make the motors spin, so yaw + pitch + roll work.\r\n\r\nI know the cradle isn't very well designed and you'll need a small file/knife to trim the parts that clip into the center ring, I'm still trying to figure that out, engineering can be challenging at times.
