Work in progress! ------------------------------------ This is a model of E69 German electric engine, a testament to innovative design and engineering. Modelled based on original drawings, this STL file showcases precision and attention to detail. Other STL files for download will be available soon, offering users the opportunity to explore more designs. The OS-Railway Project has been a driving force behind this model's creation, with special consideration given to its unique needs. Update 17/02 reveals that a beta release is imminent, marking a significant milestone in the project's development. Initially, the goal was to create a simple toy for personal use, but as the modelling process unfolded, a decision was made to develop a high-detail version as well. This has resulted in two versions of the model: a simplified version and an HD version, each offering its own unique features. The simplified version is nearing completion, with all details ready for printing. However, time is required to complete the HD version's chassis before release. The model's beta release will soon be available, tested with 0.2 resolution PLA and ABS, requiring no support except for the roof. Wheels are designed for mounting on a 3mm treaded rod or a 45 mm bolt, with assembly facilitated by glue or a one-piece print. Couplers from other OS-Railway projects can be used in conjunction with this model. Notably, bearings and dummy undercarriage are not yet completed, as well as the pantograph and mounting support for the roof. Future plans include the addition of these features, along with internal support for the roof and electronic components to mimic windows. Update 18/02 (2) reveals that several files have been repaired and reuploaded, courtesy of Vandborg from Thingiverse.com, ensuring a smoother user experience.
