The interior carpeted panel on the E46 touring hatch can be stubborn to take out, often leaving broken retaining clips in its wake. To restore normal function, I've designed two replacement clips that can be epoxied into place. To use them effectively, completely cut away the damaged section of the clip as shown in the photo. Next, apply an epoxy like JB Weld liberally - the holes provide a mechanical bond for the adhesive to take hold. It's essential to note that there are left and right clips available, but I didn't design the center clip myself.
