E3DV6 J-head Creality mount and shroud
thingiverse
This design is all about making it super easy to access the hot-end. I got fed up with stripping out tons of junk just to get the tip off, so I figured out a way to compress everything into a much smaller package. After countless hours of drawing and printing, I finally finished my hot end and fan mounts. The screw holes are intentionally undersized, so you'll have to drill them out to size. For a 3mm screw to thread smoothly into the plastic without stripping it, drill the hole to .098" (3mm) or 7/64". Take your time when drilling - if it gets too hot, you might regret it. Don't skimp on lubricating the screws. I swear by Dupont Snow and Ice Teflon spray for snowblowers as the best lube for PLA prints. It's a game-changer! To prep the fan shroud and mounting cap hole, drill them out to more than 3mm (1/8" works fine). And if you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and skip the hardware on the squirrel fan mounts - it was a super tight fit on my E3DV6 knockoff from China. You might need to trim some plastic for a better fit, depending on your brand.
