I modified the Simonwlchan excellent shroud to fit seamlessly with tonyyoungblood's e3dv6 spacer. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:958450 Also trimmed away some unnecessary design elements to print significantly faster. Added a picture of the bridge-torture-test_50mm after installing this fan. Perhaps I should lower the temperature slightly, but it turned out incredibly well. Version 2 Update Use the revised fan-shroud-v2 with the spacer. After testing the new spacer I built, the original shroud consistently bumped into the bed and pushed the filament away, making me need to file down the shroud just to stop that. Instead, I chose to redesign the shroud altogether. With these changes, I shortened the length of the shroud's nozzle so it no longer strikes the bed. I also widened the mouth and tilted it downwards. The airflow hits directly below the hot end's nozzle with a wider pattern. Previously, it seemed to strike the nozzle and was quite focused. Check out the new picture of the bridge-torture-test_50mm - it improved dramatically, without any slouching on the bottom of the bridge whatsoever. I definitely consider this a total success and significant improvement. Again, many thanks to Simonwlchan for creating the original shroud that this remix is based off. Both shrouds were printed with PETG natural. The newer shroud looks even clearer due to thinner walls. I added my own adapter for the e3d, which seems just right in size and gives a snug fit. Please note that the filament hole for the spacer is sized so that the PTFE Liner can be cut and butt up against the metal extruder (refer to pictures). This makes it easier to print flexible filaments like ninjaflex. Print Settings: Rafts: Any will do Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: None are needed Notes: No supports are required, but they can help make the inside of the shroud smoother.
