E3Dv6 Carriage Fan Duct for NopHead Mendel90 (dibond)
thingiverse
Please note: A new easy-release edition of this duct with improved height adjustment is now available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1443105. A fan duct for cooling prints which can be used instead of the standard fan duct when upgrading from the standard J Head to an E3D hot end (in this case a v6) on a NopHead Mendel90. It utilizes the same 60mm fan supplied by NopHead. Instructions This part can be printed without supports depending on what printer and slicer you use. I personally printed it in Bridge but you could also print it with ABS. Do not attempt to print it with PLA as it will probably melt completely. The standard 60mm fan supplied by NopHead can be used, but I utilized shorter bolts to prevent it from fouling the belt. Also I employed the standard nylock nuts on the bottom but regular nuts on the top again to allow more space for the belt. The alternative is as suggested by daichiasuka in the comments, you could flip the bolts around and recess the heads instead of the nuts. UPDATE: If you own a Dibond version of the printer, use FanDuct.stl. If you have an old Sturdy version we are working on a new version for this but its still under development.
