E3Dv5 - Scolopendra i3 Cooler for i3mega and other
pinshape
Hi, a new version of the Scolopendra 2 cooler system is available. It's designed specifically for my Anycubic i3 Mega Ultrabase, which uses an E3Dv5 extruder clone. Watch this video to see me assemble the prototype and print the final version: For more information on all Scolopendra coolers, visit https://www.sgabolab.com/2018/06/scolopendra-cooler-system.html In recent printer models, there are slight differences in the length of the extruder. I've added extra thicknesses to allow you to adjust the height of your extruder. You may also need these if you use clips to secure the glass. Print this at 0.2 layer height for optimal results. Optimize for a 0.4mm nozzle and two perimeters. Use ABS for the body (required for working temperature) and choose whatever material you like for the other parts, such as flaps. For flaps/doors, find some nails with good friction - it's better to have them slightly hard than too soft. Attention: If you bought your printer through my affiliate link, this drawing is free. Just send me an email at sgabolab@gmail.com with your order number and I'll send over the drawings.
