E3D Volcano Fan-Shroud - Piggyback
thingiverse
Needed some fans for my E3D Volcano hotend in my Ultius (Tantillus) printer. They are designed specifically to use 30mm fans due to limited space in my Ultius printer. The fan-shrouds are simple mirror images. Left and Right denote the side when viewing the fan from inside. This is a work in progress, as I have yet to test it. They are currently test-mounted, but no prints have been made yet. I only mounted one initially to minimize printbed real estate loss. The left fan was used and turned to face the front of my Printer, while the heat sink fan faces the right-hand side. Printer Settings Printer: JennyPrinter Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: No support is needed; print as they are oriented. I used a 0.4mm nozzle and had 2 perimeters/borders, along with 25% infill. Design Process I utilized Tinkercad.com to modify the Piggyback layercooling fanduct for e3d-v6 hotend, adapting it to fit my Volcano hotend's longer design.
