E3D+VET exercise: EU Borders
thingiverse
This is part of a series of 30 exercises developed during the E3D+VET program, an Erasmus+ initiative designed for immersion in 3D printing at VET centers. To learn more about this program, visit https://www.e3dplusvet.eu/. The model consists of 12 independent pieces, each representing the 3D printed borders of a different EU country. When assembled together, these pieces form a puzzle map of central Europe. Here's a list of the countries represented: 1. Italy 2. Spain 3. France 4. Germany 5. Portugal 6. Austria 7. Hungary 8. Slovakia 9. Czech Republic 10. Poland 11. Belgium 12. Netherlands Each piece should only feature 3D printed borders with a thickness of 3 millimeters and a height of approximately 5 mm, ensuring robust structures that fit together seamlessly as a puzzle map of central Europe. To ensure all pieces align correctly, the size scale must be uniform across all countries, while their dimensions can vary. The map is designed to be large in size, with the supporting structure measuring 500x700 mm. This support can be crafted from a 3mm recycled wood panel, providing a sturdy base for the map and enabling easy mounting on a wall.
