e3d v6 to 3Drag/K8200 adaptor
thingiverse
This adaptor perfectly fits an E3D hotend to a 3Drag/K8200 printer without needing integrated fan duct. My hotend came with a nice moulded one, but I'm glad I upgraded. The design is very simple yet strong and performs exceptionally well. The Bill of Materials needed for this project consists of: + One piece adaptor. + Four pieces M3 nuts, which can be reused as they were originally part of the standard hotend. + Four M3x18mm (or longer) bolts, which I actually found inside my original hotend, so those weren't additional costs. The new adapter came with a pair already in it. Instructions are required to put everything together correctly: First and foremost, print this adapter upside down. In comparison to the standard way when mounting it onto your printer (I tested both), I can assure you the quality of finish comes out significantly better when positioned at a 45-degree angle for better finish resolution. The materials I used include ABS plastic in very fine layers (0.2mm thick) and with the extrusion width at 0.3 mm and nozzle at an impressive half millimeter diameter size. Honestly, based on what other people would tell me, using PLA is probably okay for its versatility too when we come across these kinds of projects. You don't really have anything else but room-temperature tempered material where even after it’s heated to extreme heat, this setup allows no noticeable damage. To do the task: 1) Firstly, you'll print this adaptable piece that should now go in sync with other features on your E3D system to perfectly suit an interface compatible specifically with these hardware. Then secondly 2) next we proceed towards taking our materials to ensure the holes become precise at an angle so these remain drilled exactly with precision. Step third we are getting it into real working state which simply puts two together of all around and as it goes to have both ends being firmly stuck so once everything matches with other, in place correctly and without losing control. Fourth point mount it to a space right near what originally was hot-end removed spot to see better finishing, since my 4 vertical end got the same way placed. Sixth step you need put M3 type which should be easy then do next move for the perfect execution and finally have fun.
