E3D V6 + Titan Zonestar Prusa Hotend Mount (Accommodates Bearing Blocks)
thingiverse
nakwada's hotend mount was perfect for me, but unfortunately, it had one major flaw - it mounted facing the opposite direction from most other designs out there. So, I made a few modifications to allow for a flipped orientation. Achieved Goals: - Be compatible with bearing blocks instead of just Linear Bearings, like most designs. - Flip the hotend so that the motor is on the left and the filament tensioning screw is on the right, which seems more standard. - Lower the whole hotend since the nozzle did not reach low enough in the original design. - Work with Isograph's cooling fan mount. I made this to work with my Afinbot A3 Prusa i3 clone. I came up with two designs: one that doesn't need many supports and one that does. I only printed the one without supports, but I recommend trying the other first. Note: Both designs lack any supports on the bits where the mount holds the belts. I used Simplify3D, so I had no issues putting little supports there. Other than that, the other parts shouldn't need supports (except for the bottom of the "needs supports" model). Note: There's one hole inside the spacing rectangles for a screw to go through and attach one of the linear bearing blocks. I made the hole bigger, but on my original design it didn't fit my screws. I assume it won't break my design in any way, but if it still isn't large enough let me know so I can make it bigger. How I Designed This I just used Blender to quickly move around bits of nakwada's design. The Blender file is attached, and it has the original and some oriented versions I used along the way. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about it!
