E3D V6 Tevo Tornado Mount
thingiverse
This is a very straightforward E3D V6 hotend mount for the Tevo Tornado. It's designed to utilize as much of the original components as possible, making it an ideal upgrade option. To install, simply print this part and remove the OEM hotend; then use the same screws and pulley mount to secure the E3D V6 hotend in place. You'll be left with one spare long screw. A few things are worth noting: The nozzle will sit a little higher than the OEM nozzle, but it's still well within the adjustable bed's range. You may need to sand down a few parts, such as the clip that attaches the front to the back, the bottom left small screw hole, and the top left large hole. These areas might require some minor adjustments to fit perfectly. Cutting the original fan wires is necessary for attaching the E3D V6 fan; however, only one set of wires will power the fan. Test each set to determine which one works correctly. Additionally, ensure that the hotend reaches a temperature of 50°C or higher before activating the fan. Replacing the thermistor and sensor is not strictly necessary, as they can be slid into the new E3D V6 block without any issues. While the fan does an excellent job of keeping the heat sync cool, even when the nozzle reaches 210°C, the whole hotend still rotates too easily in the mount. To address this issue, apply some electrical tape to the clamp area to secure the E3D V6 firmly in place.
